People come to South Africa expecting to see our wildlife crossing the road, cruising the streets and maybe even popping by your local restaurant for a quick snack. This very simply is not the case. People need to be more informed. Yes, we do have a splendid variety of wildlife in this country, but please, there’s a time and a place. The time- night or day, the place- Kruger National Park. I’m talking about game drives, in open 4x4 safari vehicles, watching the animals roam around [whilst remaining safe of coarse] in their own environment.
Whether it's lion, elephant, giraffe or the variety of birds and smaller animals that you wish to see, all are there for your viewing pleasure. Whilst your search in nature continues you will stop at various waterholes, view points and picnic sites where you can relax and catch a bite to eat. Encountering the king of the jungle, or any member of his posse up close and personal makes for a thrilling experience. Then adding to that the beautiful scenery, an amazing sunset, providing of thirst quenchers free of charge [hehe, on certain tours]…I mean honestly, what more can one ask for?
