Sefapane Lodge & Safaris Reviews

Sefapane Review
I would like to thank you for your hospitality and i would definately recommend this to anyone be it friends or family. My only concern is the safari visits, why are they bieng cahrged per person instead of per trip to the maximum number of people per your recommendations, just like houses, wherein you say maximum is is 8 people.

Sefapane Lodge - a wonderful stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean and well maintained. Gardens were beautiful. One could relax, listen to the birds, watch them nesting, quietly view a leguaan scratching in the grass for Mopane worms under the Mopane trees close to the house. Visits to the Kruger Park through the Polokwane Gate were easy. Other activities such as bush walks, river safari's and game drives available. A wonderful stay.

Great stay
It was a great stay at a great lodge. Wheelchair access at house was not great. But I would have loved to stay longer.

South Africa is still the best Country

To Whom it may concern,
The accommodation is really great, staff on the facility very freindly and food well priced - definelty well worth going back and recomended.

FYI: Couple of quirks,

The cutlery and crockery was poor - simply not enough tools "There are missing tools to make up complete sets and the Braai was worse for wear. This for selfcatering is a challenge
There is major concern around what is included and paid for: on arrival received notification B&B included formally! Only to find out after checking out and consolidating. Management called us back to pay.... The generic welcome documentation is miss leading and a terrible experience
The game drives were really great, this is our nations pride (But - as a routine JOB, the Game rangers / drivers in my opinion need to be monitored, as a South African their approach to expats is same old routine race thru the park to get people back. There tour guidance is really poor "Here is major need to evaluate, all aspects of their delivery: From Wild life education to Fauna and Flora, this is very average for the price anyway the food supplied on these trips is dismal. I.E. my wife and father Inlaw went out on a morning trip during the rain were forced to huddle, arriving for breakies were soaked. I was forced to get up with two small kids collect them in the Park....)

Best Regards,

Raymond

A "must do" when in South Africa
An exquisite game lodge with fabulous guest houses and fantastic food and wines all available at a reasonable price as compared to many alternatives. The prices do not include the safari game drives, but these are available at a very reasonable price as compared to other alternatives. My wife, my daughter and I stayed there for four days and we booked a morning bush walk, and evening safari and a river safari for a total combined price which was lowered than an equivalent single safari drive in other over priced alternatives -- and we saw a LOT of games in all three excursions. And other very big advantage of the lodge is its proximity to the Kruger gate which is only a 2 minute drive, which makes it easy to get up early and be in front of the line of waiting cars in order to be as early as possible to see games as you drive yourself in Kruger. I could go on and on as far as the friendly staff, the great settings, and the incredible accommodations -- our guest house had three bathrooms, and could comfortably accommodate 8 people with a fully equipped kitchen with all needed dishes and related equipment. IF you are in South Africa, and you want to do a safari, PLEASE consider this lodge in the northern Kruger as your first option before you look anywhere else -- the elephant, the rhinos, and the lions we saw were the same as the ones we would have seen in MalaMala or Londolozi.... and a fraction of a fraction of their prices.......
