Valley of the Rainbow

Valley of the Rainbow is a Private Nature Reserve situated in a secluded valley and surrounded by gorgeous mountains near Dullstroom, Mpumalanga. The reserve is only a 2 hour drive from Johannesburg and the area is Malaria-Bilharzia free with a mild climate.

Valley of the Rainbow has a variety of accommodations to suite everyones needs. The Manor House has five rooms with a lounge area and en-suite bathroom. There is also a spacious lounge with an open fireplace for those chilly winter evenings, a bar for socializing, a dining room with fireplace, library for those who enjoy a book or two, a TV and a deck overlooking the river, gardens, mountains, lakes and forests. The Country House has 5 luxurious double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, open plan lounge, dining room, TV room and access to the veranda. Then the tended chalets are for the adventurous guests who want to experience nature in comfort. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom, front seating deck with kitchenette and spectacular views of the lakes and the valley.

At Manor House mouthwatering homemade meals are served in the dining room. The Country House and Tented Chalets are self catering, except for the Honeymoon Chalet. Guests will have they need to create that scrumptious breakfast, lunch or dinner. Guests can pack a picnic basket, head down to the lake and enjoy the outdoors.

The Valley of the Rainbow has many outdoor activities that guests can partake in, such as trout fishing, giving you that quiet time you need, going on horse rides, bird watching or you could enjoy long walks in the surrounding area. Sitting next to the lake side helps you relax and be at one with nature.
