Shiluvari Lakeside Lodge is an old farmhouse renovated and refurbished to give it a charming character. The main lodge now offers a lovely country restaurant and lounge area featuring a fireplace and magnificent views of the surrounding region. Our lovely cuisine tickles the palate with its Afro-fusion style blending the best of local and European flavors.

Shilluvari Lakeside Lodge is set in the midst of a variety of Southern African richness and diversity as world-renowned artists and local craftsmen gather together in a wild and vibrant profusion of global arts. This secret destination can only come through Shiluvari Lakeside Lodge.

Beautiful accommodations await guests as our lovely thatched chalets are separately located from the main lodge and offers lovely views of the lake. Our Family cottages can sleep up to 4 people while the smaller chalets can accommodate 2. The chalets are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, attached lounge and kitchenette area, tea and coffee making facilities, overhead fans and private veranda with a braai area.

The charming thatched chalets at Shiluvari Lakeside Lodge are uniquely styled with varying themes featuring elements from the local artists. You can select from our exquisite array of rooms – Dragonfly, Bug or African. Each of these rooms radiates its own unique character. The chalets are hidden away from each other ensuring utmost privacy and comfort and your very own views of the lake. Shiluvari Lakeside Lodge is nestled in 60 hectares of natural vegetation. You can take a stroll across the estate and you may be able to see a few of the game animals frequenting the place. Wildlife such as Waterbuck, Kudu, Bushbuck and Duiker can be seen grazing and wandering through the lodge grounds. We are also equipped for conferences and weddings.

One of the most leisurely things to do at Shiluvari Lakeside Lodge is to take a sundowner cruise on the “Savannah” on the Levubu River while enjoying a cocktail and witnessing the sun in its magical image of setting. All the while listening to the call of the Fiery-necked nightjar as the evening comes.
