The Summit Lodge is the sort of place where memories are made. So many people have had their birthday parties there, have been married there, have had second honeymoons there. Literally thousands of pictures have been taken by our guests and international visitors of the cute round rooms (rondawels) and the garden and the dining room and fire place.
Yes, the lodge is the kind of place where you visit and make friends with the staff and when you leave you feel like crying. Far away from the city’s noise, the traffic congestion and smog.

Summit Lodge has 12 thatched roof rondavels. We also have a cute log hut and 3 self-catering units and a funky and distinctive back packer’s train coach for the budget wise. The camp site has a lawn and swimming pool amidst the thriving garden. The facility is enclosed by an electronic fence making it ultra safe and at the same time reasonably priced.
At The Summit Lodge you have a choice of B&B and dinner or just B&B accommodation. Our excellent restaurant opens at 7 o’clock in the morning and our ribs and fillets are simply the best!
The Summit Lodge is perfect for honeymoons. Our Honeymooner’s rondavel is a lovely, very spacious double size rondavel with double bed, bathroom, kitchen, lounge area, TV and private porch. Honeymooners will receive a bottle of champagne and fruit parcel on their first night.
Guests can enjoy our welcoming pub and games room with pool tables, table tennis and darts. A sparkling swimming pool entices to cool down during sun-filled days. Our one hectare garden with lawns thrives with native tree ferns and other plants and allows for well-spaced rondavels. Lazing away on the pub’s front porch with a sundowner or a light meal is one of the most pleasurable experiences you can have. It is also the perfect place to rest after an amazing full day safari.
