Bohms Zeederberg Country House

Bohm's Zeederberg is a small owner-run Country House situated in the picturesque Sabie River Valley of the Mpumalanga Drakensberg, South Africa, close to the Kruger National Park in a Malaria Free Area. Situated 26.6 km from Sabie towards Hazyview on the R536, Bohm's lies on the border of the largest National Park in the world. Mrs Bohm and her German speaking family have been your friendly hosts since 1975, and have been awarded a Four Star Grading by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The Country House is surrounded by all the major tourist attractions - 30 minutes drive to the Kruger National Park, 30 minutes drive to the Panorama Route with all the waterfalls, and 1 hour's drive to the majestic Blyde River Canyon.

Airports are at Nelspruit's KMIA Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (85km) and Hoedspruit's Eastgate Airport (120 km), with direct flights from all major centres daily. Vehicles can be rented at all the airports and our in-house tour-operator, Malachite Tours, offers transfers to any destination. Mrs Bohm offers updated advice on scenic places to visit, walking trails and special interest requests. The Country House is situated on a hilltop 900 meters above sea level, with majestic views over the Sabie River Valley and the Sabie River below. The farm borders the Pine- and Eucalyptus forests of Sabie, and to the other side lies the Hazyview agricultural heartland producing export quality citrus, bananas, avocado's, mangoes and other subtropical fruits.

The Swimming Pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi are centrally situated within the 2 hectare lush subtropical garden, and swimming is pleasant from September to May. The garden is filled with beautiful indigenous trees, which have been labeled for easy identification. The garden is a birdwatcher's paradise, with two different kinds of Turaco nesting in the huge wild fig trees. For those seeking serenity, the garden offers many private corners to simply sit and watch the beauty of nature or to read a good book from our library. The farm consists of 60 hectares of indigenous bush, alive with varied wildlife: small buck including Duiker and Bushbuck, Blue Vervet Monkeys and Bushbabies, many small mammals like Mongoose and Bats, and a myriad of indigenous birds.
