For those who enjoy a day touring and sightseeing, Hazyview is located at the foot of the Drakensberg mountain on the magnificent "Panorama Route". The area is teeming with a diversity of natural, cultural and historic gems and offers the traveller some of the most spectacular views in South Africa.

Hazyview

Founded in the early 20th Century by an alcoholic Canadian Boer War veteran, named Perry, who was running away from a trumped-up murder-charge down-country, Hazyview is now a bustling, peaceful market town at the portals of the Kruger National Park. Its temperate climate, with hot summer days cooled by evening rainfall and warm winter days of cloudless skies, makes Hazyview a genuine year-round destination.

The Sabi River Valley, in which Hazyview is situated, is bounded on all sides by indigenous bush, and these fertile conditions have led to the farming of a huge variety of fruit and trees. A number of small country style shopping experiences have recently added a popular new aspect to the town’s appeal.
