Accommodation

Main Lodge

The main lodge area is tastefully decorated and comprises the reception, dining area, lounge and ladies bar. The sliding doors open onto our main deck, stepping down to a rim flow pool with an awe inspiring view of the cascading Sabie River and valley.

Dinner is served in the dining area. However, when the weather is kind, the tables are set outside on the main deck, so that you may enjoy your meal under the stars to the sounds of the resident bush babies and Wood owls. During winter, we stoke up the fire and serve wonderful meals indoors.

Chalets 1 - 4

These four magnificent chalets are fully serviced, each boasts a king-size bed draped with a mosquito net, and has a stone bath, waterfall shower and fireplace. The sliding doors lead onto a private deck with a plunge pool, from which you can take in the awe-inspiring view. Each chalet is private and surrounded by unspoilt indigenous bush - perfect for romantic getaways.

Meals are served in the main lodge area, or if you wish - privately in your chalet, or weather permitting, on your deck. Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast. Children over 16 welcome

Honeymoon Chalet 5

Our fifth chalet is ideal for honeymooners, or for those "special occasions". The bathroom has a large stone bath, double vanity and double shower with a waterfall feature. In the Winter months, luxuriate in your king-size bed whilst watching the flames from the ceramic fireplace which separates the bedroom from the dining and lounge area. In the warmer months cool off in the plunge pool and refresh yourself in the outside shower. Enjoy a romantic sundowner on the private deck, which has a magnificent view of the Sabie River valley.

Meals are served in the main lodge area, or if you wish - privately in your chalet, or weather permitting, on your deck. Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast. Children over 16 welcome.

Honeymoon Chalet 6

This will be the most secluded of all our chalets making it ideal for honeymooners and those special occasions. The fireplace separates the bedroom, with its 4-poster king-size bed, from the lounge and dining area. The chandelier above the stone bath can be dimmed for those romantic evenings; the bathroom contains a double vanity and double shower with waterfall feature. The sliding doors lead onto a private deck with a plunge pool and outside shower. Enjoy a romantic sun downer in the comfort of the outside lounge, with a magnificent view of the Sabie River, as the sun sets behind the distant mountains.

Chalet 7

Our most recent addition, is beautifully decorated and is similar to the honeymoon chalet in size and amenities, with a fireplace separating the lounge and dining area from the bedroom, the king-size bed is draped with a mosquito net. For a more romantic setting there is a chandelier above the stone bath; the bathroom contains a double vanity and double shower with waterfall feature. The sliding doors lead onto a patio with sunken plunge pool and outside shower. This chalet differs from the others in that it faces North East with a more limited view of the Sabie river valley.

Meals are served in the main lodge area, or if you wish - privately in your chalet, or weather permitting, on your deck. Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast. Children over 16 welcome.

DIRECTIONS: From Johanesburg/Pretoria through Dullstroom
From Johannesburg, take the N4 to Witbank. You will encounter one tollgate, the Middleburg toll. Turn off (left) at the signposted Belfast/Dullstroom road. Follow this road into Belfast and at the third stop turn right (look for the Dullstroom sign).
Follow this road through Dullstroom to a T-junction. Turn left at the T-junction and drive into Lydenburg. In Lydenburg follow the Kruger National Park/Sabie signboards. You turn right to go through Long Tom Pass - the R37 - (look for the KNP/Sabie/Long Tom Pass signboards).
Follow the R37 into Sabie. At the first major stop in Sabie, turn right. Follow this road to another stop street and turn right onto the R536 Sabie Road. Follow this road for 27km's and we are on the left. Look for the Tanamera sign board.
Turn left off the R536 onto the sand road and follow the signboards for approximately 1,5km to the lodge, where we will welcome you. The route takes between 3H45 minutes to 4H45 minutes depending on your vehicle, amount of stops and speed. Please drive safely and look out for potholes on the Dullstroom - Lydenburg stretch.
Alternative route from Johannesburg or Pretoria.
Remain on the N4 past Belfast. Just after the Machadodorp toll (R41-00) take the Schoemanskloof offramp. Parallel the N4, which you will rejoin. A few kilometers after you rejoin the N4 turn left at the Sabie board. Follow this road and turn right at the next Sabie board (if you go straight you will get to the Sudwala caves). Follow this road to a T-junction, where you turn left onto the R37 following the Sabie signs. At the next T-junction, turn right, again following the Sabie signs. At the first stop street in Sabie, turn right. At the next stop street, you will have a Spur on your left, and the Woodsman pub diagonally across from you. Turn right at this stop onto the R536 towards Hazyview. We are 25km from Sabie on the left hand side. Look out for our sign and a large monolithic structure at the entrance.
