Situated just 11km outside of Hoedspruit on the Phalaborwa road , Dithaba Game Lodge offers guests a unique opportunity to get acquainted with nature and the natural wild life of the Lowveld and the Timbavati Area. The lodge is privately owned and exclusivity is the keyword.
The Lodge accommodates up to 18 persons at a time with 3 chalets sleeping 2 guests each and 2 self catering cottages sleeping up to 6 guests. Two swimming are available to cool you off in the heat of the day. The chalets have showers and are modern and comfortable blending in with the natural bush and surrounding area, all with electricity and hot water. The kitchen supplies excellent " bush cuisine " served at the Boma or in the well appointed dining room. The bar area will keep your thirst quenched in what is generally considered to be the best climate in the world.
The reserve with the beginning of the Drakensberg Mountain Range as a backdrop, is some 500 Hectare in area, unspoilt and well stocked with a variety of game, including Giraffe, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Nyala, Waterbuck, Eland, Zebra, Impala, Ostrich, Steen Buck, Klipspringer, Warthog, Bush Pig Leopard, Hyena, Caracal, Jackal, and many other varieties as well as the occasional Lion from neighbouring farms. Bird life is abundant and if you choose to pursue this past time walking trails are on offer but only with experienced guides and at your own risk.
