We have just returned home, from 6 days safari in Kruger National Park. We traveled with viva safari and stayed at Marc's Treehouse Lodge. The trip was amazing!!!. We went a family of 15, with 7 kids in the ages of 3-16 for the head of family 70 birthdays. The staff in the lodge was very pleasant (with the leadership of Florence the camp manager) the drivers were knowladabale and very flexible to our needs (when you are traveling with so many kids you need the flexibility).
We were picked up in Johannesburg Airport and drove about 7 hours to the lodge, drivers drove very well and we felt very safe. We had few stops in the way for lunch etc. - I recommend to ask the driver for few suggestion and they decide base on your needs.
The lodge was very pleasant, the (Treehouses) our cabins we stayed had shower and toilet in suite with hot water all the time , the cabin are spread across wide area and "planted" between the trees , you walk in the morning or evening and meet impalas, buffalos and monkeys on your way , we also had a giraffe visiting our window one time .
Breakfast was served on a deck above a lake, enough to prepare for a full day, bread, muffins and fruits with eggs every other day.
Dinner was fine not too fancy but more than enough (and tasty) after a full day in the park . The lodge is equipped with a fridge with cold drinks and beers to be bought on site but,
I recommend buying gallons of water outside as the price of water was high in the lodge.
The trips to the safari were very good they have flexible the schedule to meet our group needs and support small children needs.
This is a perfect place of between nature to luxury without spending too much money
