Honeyguide Tented Safari Camps

Situated in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, lie Honeyguide's two tented camps, Khoka Moya and Mantobeni. Manyeleti, meaning "Place of the Stars" borders Kruger National Park, Sabi Sand and Timbavati and is a true Big Five Reserve in the the Limpopo Province.

Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is designed to reflect Hemingways' Africa, this 12 tented camp is nestled in a Tamboti grove overlooking a dry river bed. The reception areas comprise a large sitting area, indoor and outdoor areas, bar and climate controlled wine cellar.

Game visiting the nearby watering hole can be seen from the swimming pool deck adjoining the reception areas. The tents are comfortably furnished with king-sized beds and soft leather couches. Each tent leads onto its own bathroom with concrete bath, double shower and separate toilet.

Honeyguide Khoka Moya comprises 12 large tents furnished in a contemporary yet comfortable style. Each tent is en-suite with double shower and separate toilet. A private outdoor seating area in front of each tent allows guests to relax and take in sights and sounds of the bush.

The reception areas reflect the contemporary design of architect Enrico Daffonchio and are built of steel, corrugated iron and recycled timber. The large lounge and dining areas of the camp overlook manicured green lawns leading to the swimming pool.

The rates at Honeyguide include accommodation, all meals and beverages, including wine, as well as activities. Guests awake to the sound of beating drums and tea or coffee is served in the tents.

Safaris in open game drive vehicles, led by experienced and qualified guides and trackers, are conducted in the early mornings and late afternoon / evenings.

A foot safari is undertaken after breakfast, with emphasis on the abundant bird, insect and plant life surrounding the camps.

Guests may also choose to relax by the pool or browse through the small library at each camp.

Most dietary requirements are catered for, provided prior arrangements have been made.

Honeyguide Khoka Moya Camp offers an educational program for children of all ages aimed at catering for children. Parents wishing to visit a luxury private camp in the greater Kruger National Park area are able to have the peace of mind that their children are welcome and cared for.

By car from Johannesburg or Pretoria

Honeyguide Tented Safari Camps are approximately 5 to 5 ? hours drive from Johannesburg.

From Johannesburg (R22), proceed towards Belfast. Exit the N4 at the Belfast intersection, enter the town And turn right at the second stop sign in the direction of Dullstroom (R540).

Continue to Lyndenburg via Dullstrrom. In Lyndenburg turn left and take the R36 to Orighstad. Continue in the direction of Hoedspruit via the Abel Erasmus Pass and the JG Strijdom Tunnel.

Shortly after crossing the Blyde River, turn right in the direction of Orpen/Swadini (R531). Approximately 10km further, do not take the right turn to Swadini but continue straight in the direction of Klaserie. Continue past Klaserie, and turn left at the Orpen signpost and continue until you see the Manyeleti Reserve sign (approximately 36km). Turn right to enter the reserve and follow the Honeyguide Tented Safari Camp signs.
