Leokwe Camp Reviews

Mapungubwe must be saved for future generations from the invasions of coalmines and polution.It is a beautiful park with wonderful landscapes and cultural value. We saw a lot of wildlife, especially elephants!We had a wonderful stay in the cottage at Leokwe camp--a true wildlife experience.The staff was helpful and friendly.We worried about the cattle from zimbabwe in the park and also the numbers of elephant .

I took international visitors to view the Mabungubwe site - We all were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the surroundings were and also at the absolutely fabulous architecture of the buildings in Leokwe camp. The oulooks over the confluence are exeptional and sunset over the Limpopwe unforgettalbe. Now that we discovere Leokwe this was the first of many visits to come!! The accommodation was excellent. Our only concern was that there was no place to buy necessities (like firewood e.g.) - although we were lucky and did not forget anything (except salt for the meat!!) I can imagine people getting stranded without some vital commodity - and the closest shop is many miles away!! - But all in all - this was a wonderful surprise!!
