The lush surrounds of the Limpopo River form a magical setting for the Limpopo Forest Tented Camp, a constituent of the greater Mapungubwe National Park. Plush in its semi luxury facilities and airy construction, this attractive and secluded tented camp facility is self catering and absolutely gorgeous - a memorable getaway destination.

The camp itself accommodates around sixteen guests in spacious rooms in eight two-bed self-catering units. Additionally, guests have access to seven semi-luxury forest tents, with two-bed bedrooms, shower and toilet facilities, and kitchen units. The camp is also disabled friendly, with one semi-luxury forest tent sporting a charming two bed-bedroom, kitchen, and private ablution facilities.

Guests have an exciting group of archaeological and art sites to take in during their stay here, as well. Guided tours of the area are available, as well as birding excursions, and spectacular game viewing opportunities.

"Limpopo Forest camp was a pleasant surprise to our family. The tented camp is beautifully situated under large forest trees. We heard many bird species and it was quiet and peaceful at night. The swimming pool was a lifesaver during a very hot and humid period. The luxury tents were well provided although we were without electricity for two days from very early on in the morning. It was during heavy rains and a gas stove would have been welcome. The game drive around the camp is wellworth driving as well as the birdhide where we saw interesting sitings."
