Welcome to the Mapungubwe Kingdom in the celebrated province of Limpopo. A land of myth, legend, beautiful scenery and the majestic Baobab tree. The Mapungubwe National Park is abounding in biodiversity and the cultural significance of the archaeological treasures of Africa.
The landscape has exceptional botanical, ecological & geological merit, providing a sanctuary to the most endangered creatures of the wild, such as the famous Golden Rhino and home to Africa’s Famous “Big Five”, the king of the beasts - Lions, the gardeners of the Savannah, African Elephants, the prince of the African night – Leopards, the great grazers – Rhino’s and herds of Buffalo’s with their flanks of ebony and horns of steel. The mighty Limpopo River supplies an abundance of pools that offer refuge to crocodile and hippopotamus.
