Wally's feedback
Our stay was perfect except that the red ants was causing discomfortability. Thanks to Amanda for everything she did for us,even ensuring that she wake up and leave his family to ensure that we check in safely.I would like to come back again.

Mafunyani Lodge
We had a delightful stay in Mafunyani Lodge in Marloth Park. It was reasonably priced and very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. We loved watching the animals come to the Lodge almost daily and were close enough to the Kruger Park to make several visits. Thank you Natasha for looking after us!

Truly Amazing
My family and I are from UK but living in Jo'burg for a couple of years. We had friends visiting from UK and wanted to take them somewhere special for a few days - we were certainly not disappointed! Within an hour of arriving we were visited by a vast array of animals, including feeding Zebra by hand in the garden. Our friends were completely overwhelmed. The lodge is very well equiped and we wanted for nothing, absolutely perfect for two families. We are expecting more visitors over the next couple of years and look forward to repeating the experience at the Mafunyani Lodge many times. Highly recommended.

Compulsory to visit this Lodge
To write a quick review for Mafunyani Kruger Lodge is almost unfair; since this place is to wonderful to sum up in a quick review; but here are my efforts!

We arrived in South-Africa for a quick visit from Cape Town to Sun City to the Kruger National Park; fortunatelly my Wife booked us in at Mafunyani Kruger Lodge for 4-nights and we decided to stay an additional 3 nights, since our first 4 nights were so wonderful!

I have been to Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland and Kenya before and NEVER before had we enjoyed ourselves so much as at Mafunyani Lodge; the wildlife is exceptional, so tame and so easy to view! We sat on the verandah and viewing decks each day litterally playing with the animals, as they came to visit us!!

There was NO NEED to travel for hundreds of miles each day in search of some wildlife; we had this entire luxurious place exclusively to ourselves and the wild animals came to US!!!

The facilities are well maintained and really spacious and impressive; the staff are beyond friendly and wonderful! We will most defenitely return to South-Africa and to Mafunyani Kruger Lodge (specifically) very, very soon!

Kind regards

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE LODGE
I booked this Lodge for my Family for a weekend; we were 5 adults; 4 kids and I took my 85-year old Mother along with us!!

We were INCREDIBLY IMPRESSED with what we recieved; the Large, spacious Lodge was fully equipped and absolutely beautiful (from top to floor); the cleaning staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and so were the Hostess; she looked in on us daily, just to make sure that we were still fine!

The Lodge itself was fully air conditioned, we enjoyed the large TV, Pooltable, Bar and the fully equipped Kitchens and Bathrooms were such a joy in the bushveld!

But the best of all was the amount of wild life which visited us every day as we were sitting outside in the garden and at the splashpool; the monkeys, baboons, kudus, warthogs, zebras and even giraffes came by each day and the children could not believe how CLOSE they came for some food and pictures!

THIS PLACE IS A TRUE GEM....we will most defenitely book here again!!!!!!!!

A trip & worth making!
We were very, very happy with this restful trip to Mafunyani!
When Natasha told us the whole big place will be ours even if we only book for two people, I did not really believe it possible - yet her word was her promise!

We were phoned by Natasha before we left home, and she welcomed us in person at the lodge. The place was clean & well prepared, and we felt like kings in our own little kingdom for all 4 days we spent there!

Enough space, funiture, facilities - more than we needed!

This is a trip worth making, and I can ALWAYS reccomend it for a great holiday & place in the country to stay!

Go and enjoy it!!!

Best Lodge in or around Kruger National Park
We took our Family to the Kruger Park for a few days; we booked at 3 different places of which Mafunyani Kruger were the last one on the list (for 3 nights); we were incredibly surprised to arrive at this Large, luxury, clean, air conditioned Lodge with all these facilities and find that it is entirely ours for these nights! This Lodge is by far the BEST in or around the Kruger that we have ever experienced; the other places were twice as expensive, much smaller, much less luxurious, much less equipped and friendly and not one other place could compete with this place!

Really impressive place; we are booked for another visit later this year, I can honsetly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, spacious, luxurious, comfortable spot from where to explore the Kruger Park! At night the Zebras and Giraffes came and stood in front of us in the driveway and garden as we had our BBQ....unbelievable!

Thanks to the friendly host, will defenitely see you guys again soon!

REALLY IMPRESSIVE SELF CATERING ESTABLISHMENT!!!!
Our trip to the Kruger National Park would not have been so wonderful if it was NOT for this really impressive place; we paid very little money in comparison to other accommodation prices and therefore did not expect to much! BUT WOW, we were surprised by the luxury, space and clean accommodation upon our arrival!! We got the entire place just for ourselves, the staff were really helpful and friendly, the place was extremely beautiful and cleaned daily! We LOVED the Zebra's and Warthogs who came by each day as well as the pooltable on the viewing deck! The kids and women loved the splashpool, large lounge and garden; we felt safe and comfortable all for a very reasonable price.

Thank you Natasha; will love to visit this place again sooon!!!!!!!

Our Stay
With three very busy kids we needed a place that can really accomodate us. Well we found it!! This is really the best value for money and the best value for the kids. It doesn't matter if you are 10 people staying there or just a Family of 5 I can promise you, you will have the time of your life. I mean where else do you find Zebra's eating out of your hand?!
Thanks a lot for a Great weekend!

My pleasant stay at Mafunyani
I enjoyed may stay at mafunyani and wish to go back again this year for vacation. It is a very quite place where relaxation is a must have. you are guaranteed a peace of mind and if you likes nature then you are at the right place. it is the place to brush off all the frustration, agonies and depression. I liked the place indeed, the rooms were well ventilated, tidy and not forgeting the braai place and bar in the lapa.

Would not recommend this place.
Firstly, the night before our arrival, we contacted the owners to ask something and were told that our 7 day booking would have to be shortened to a 3 day booking due to them double booking us ! We eventually sorted that out, only to have the other party arrive on our doorstep on the 3rd day because they had been told that the lodge was flooded ! Very disappointing and unethical. If WE hadn't contacted the owners, we would have had to deal with an extremely irate party who had arrived for their booking!

Secondly, the lodge supposedly caters for 17 - 21 people. We were a party of 8, and ended up throwing away half of our meat because there were inadequate refrigeration facilities for us (a small fridge with a tiny ice box and a bar fridge with even smaller ice box), let alone 17 people ! There was also inadequate cutlery.

The bedding in some of the rooms was filthy and unwashed and in other rooms, non existant !

Lastly, the lodge runs on 1 phase power, and considering that it caters for 17 people, this becomes a problem when you try and put more than one air conditioner on at any given time, or try to use the kettle. We were constantly running to the electricity box because the power kept tripping. In 38 degree weather, we all had to congregate in the kitchen because it was the only place we could all sit with air conditioning.

Although I travel to marloth Park at least 3 times a year, and have never had a problem, My entire party were extremely disappointed with this establishment and will NEVER go there again.
