Situated in Mpumalanga Province in the 'Wild Frontier' region, the Royal Kruger Lodge is just beyond the Crocodile River and forms a natural border with the Kruger National Park. It is conveniently located 50 minutes from Mpumalanga International airport and a 5 hour drive from Johannesburg.

The wildlife thrives in this part of South Africa and boasts around 60 species of mammals, around 500 species of birds and numerous species of reptiles.

There is nothing quite as stirring as encountering the Big 5 in their natural habitat, the Kruger National Park. Enjoy the adventure of day and night Safaris in open safari vehicles, lead by highly skilled rangers, into the heart of the wild African Bushveld.

Royal Kruger Lodge is home to animals including giraffe, buck, buffalo and zebras, which roam freely around the lodge and surrounding areas. Guests are often thrilled with unbelievably close and personal encounters, on the verandah, at the water hole, at the pool and during their bush orientation walks. They are afforded these rare opportunities due to the intimate boutique lodge size and low sound levels. Lions reside within short walking distance from the lodge, inside the Lionspruit reserve and can often be heard during our starlit Boma Dinners.

Guests are greeted by majestic African sunrises and sunsets, adding to the peace and tranquillity of the area, allowing one to relax and unwind when not participating in the adventure and excitement of our game drives and other activities. Guests are given the opportunity to toast the flaming sunset in the wild with sundowners at the famous Crocodile River, often rich in wildlife.
