Tsendze rustic camp site is located 7 km south of Mopani Camp along the H1-6 road to Letaba Rest Camp. Tsendze is. At the rear of camp is the Mooiplaas picnic site, this section is known for large numbers of buffalo and Elephant bulls home to large tuskers. A current tusker with rather impressive ivory is “Alexander” who is often encountered on the main tarred route between Tsendze Rustic Camp and the Mopani Camp.
Tsendze River and Nshawu Creek run through this region, Nshawu Creek is a shallow marsh very popular for buffalo herds and elephant bulls during hot summer days. Tsendze Rustic Camp has an abundance of huge trees in the campsite offering awesome birding opportunities.
The accommodation at Tsendze is a rustic camp site with 34 rustic camping sites surrounded by a variety of trees that provide shade, each with its own barbecue stand and a rubbish bin, and 3 sites will share one water tap..
Tsendze has 2 toilet blocks, accessible with wheelchairs and 2 wash-up facilities. Guests will be required to check-in at Mopani Rest Camp Reception to select a site. Gas geysers are used to provide warm water and gas stoves for cooking. No electricity but operates on solar battery panels, accommodating caravans and tents.
