A secret is nestled within a forest of Mopani trees on the banks of the Pioneer Dam in the Kruger National Park. Enjoying a wild atmosphere, all of the original vegetation of the Kruger National Park is retained within the camp of Mopani. Mopani is a luxury camp that features bungalows and cottages en suite facilities, verandahs and kitchenettes, and an outside braai (barbecue) area. The guest house is ideally positioned with a view of the dam, with a microwave, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and DSTV. Mopani is surrounded by dense mopani veld. Lounge at the bar and enjoy watching the parade of nature as blue wildebeest, Burchel's zebra, buffalo and black-backed jackals shuffle through the bush.

Go on a game drive through the bush to have a glimpse at some of Africa's more famous creatures, such as hippos and African fish eagles. Scattered with bush willow, silver-crusted-leaf tree and shrub mopane, the area provides food for grazing animals, and great game-viewing opportunities. Silently explore the bush, looking out for African fish eagles, African spoonbill, and a wire-tailed swallow, to name a few. Visit the Shipandani and Pioneer Dam Hides to have a closer look at all of the interesting creatures that frequent the water. Enjoy guided walks through the bush with an armed ranger that points out interesting facts of the bush, observing animal tracks, with the chance of observing animals in their natural surroundings. Mopani is the ultimate retreat within the recluse of the bush.
