Authentic, hands on, rugged camping experiences are characterised by a fully facilitated, yet uncluttered environment, free from modern trappings or expensive furnishings. Tsendze rustic camp is a shift from the bustle and luxury of other Kruger Park camps, located seven kilometers from Mopani Rest Camp, and facilitating an actively simple camping experience with no electricity or generators.

Facilities at Tsendze make for the perfect rustic camping trip, and guests are left largely to their own devices in terms of provisions and setting up of tents etc. Accommodation is provided at thirty campsites, making use of communal ablution and kitchen facilities, with individual braai stands, shared fresh water taps, and the option to reserve specific sites within the camp shoul they be available. The campsite is managed from Mopani camp and thus has no reception area - guests must report to Mopani camp at least an hour prior to the closing of the gate for check-in.

Mopani Rest Camp arranges any and all activities for guests staying at Tsendze, and Guided Game Walks or Game Drives should be arranged with them, prior to arrival and subject to availability. Guests are requested to note that children younger than the age of six are not allowed to accompany them on game drives, and children younger than twelve will be restricted from game walks. Facilities include communal kitchens, wheelchair freindly ablution blocks, gas powered hot water, and solar powered lighting. Two communal refrigerators are available.

Mooiplaas is particularly well known for its large grazer population, including various buffalo herds and impressive elephant bulls. Guests on outings to this area are treated to the awesome views of the serene bushveld as these giants wander through the thick grass.
