I could not fault this lodge. We were greeted by "Wonderboy" and the food was cooked by "Goodness" who both lived up to their names. We loved everything about the place. The lodge is just the right size, the rooms are perfect and the staff could not have been more helpful. Can you imagine sitting at a table next to the fire, dining by lamplight, while elephants and leopard come down for a drink 20 yds in front of you? As a hotel designer who has won the award for "Best Resort Hotel in the World" twice, I am really difficult to please, but Hoyo Hoyo came out with full marks. It is much better than any resort in Sabi Sands and certainly much better value. We saw the Big 5, even though we didn't ask to and left feeling completely satisfied. If I have a complaint, it is that our guide could have done with some etiquette lessons. Not a very friendly person with bad attitude, but he did manage to show us some unforgettable moments. So overall, well done Hoyo Hoyo and your wonderful staff. I would recommend you to anyone anytime.
