Tucked away beside the banks of the Timbavati River, is a little tented satellite camp called Tamboti Camp. Found in the midst of large riverine trees, overlooking the frequently dry Timbavati riverbed is one of the Kruger National Park's numerous comfortable caravan / camping sites.
At Tamboti Camp you can rest in safari tents supported on wooden platforms surrounded by Marula trees and that natural bush feeling. Tamboti Camp is ideal for intimate groups of people who enjoy gathering around the campfire to revive their animal encounters of the day.
For the birding fanatics, Tamboti Camp proffers a bird hide, where one can spend time looking for that elusive rare species.
The accommodation at Tamboti consists of tented camps:
Stilted safari tents provide accommodation & are supplied with bedding, toweling and soap. Tents are serviced daily and are self catering
Electrical plug points are provided. All Tents contains a fridge & standing fan.
Communal bathroom & kitchen facilities. 2 tents have been modified for handicapped persons.
BUDGET SAFARI TENTS
There are 5 two bed tents and 15 four bed tents with a small veranda.
SEMI-LUXURY SAFARI TENTS
10 fully equipped three bed tents, with 1 double bed and a sleeper couch.
Pursue the Leopard which can be found hiding in the Timbavati riverbed on a guided bush walk or take part in the nocturnal activities of the Park’s enigmatic creatures on a night game drive & scrutinize the African bush.
