Tamboti Tented Camp Reviews

If bush is what you want
If you're into a bit more 'going bush', then I'd definitely recommend Tamboiti. Great game viewing as well - in fact, probably the best we experienced in our 14 days in the KNP. We'll be back for sure

First Time Campers
We enjoyed our stay. The tent was very clean and very comfortable although we were very cold at night at this time of the year. The Honey Badger came to visit in the night quite scary, but memorable. The chorus of birds on the deck in the early morning were wonderful and quite tame. The staff were very friendly and professional.

Fun at Tamboti
We had a lovely stay at Tamboti as always! It's our favourite camp and the service was excellent as usual. We had the perfekt tent (nr 18) with such a nice view! My only recommendation is that you cut more of the branches in front of the tents that overlook the river. Like tent 17 has NO view!? This would've been realy disapointing if we had to stay in a tent with no view of the river.

Tamboti Tented Camp
I could only recommend this camp to any likely visitor. As a person that enjoys privacy and the sounds of the bush, this is the only camp for me and the lack of shops etc only enhances the stay.

However, that said I would not like to publicise the camp too much as it could mean that accomodation here would become more difficult to book :-)

In the bush
We loved staying here - being in the heart of the bush. We would however ask that more information is made in and around the camp (and park in general) about not feeding the animals. We met an almost tame hyena near here, obviously she had been fed by humans. Not good. Tamboti Camp was a lovely place to stay, which had all basic amenities and self-catering goodies in the kitchen and I definitely recommend it!

Peacefull
We enjoyed our stay luckely in the tent's
with their own bathrooms.
Would suggest that they cut trees in front of tents
in order to see riverbed.

All you need.
Our accommodation was very comfortable and I was plesantly surprised how much privacy each tent has. It was tranquil and relaxing. it was a perfect base for us to explore from and we never had to go far to see animals!!

Tamboti tent camp - a must for the wild at heart
Our stay at Tamboti was a true adventure! The tent was clean and well supplied with fan and fridge for the scorching summer days. In and around the camp we were able to see many animals and various bird species and we were able to experience a true bushveld atmosphere. I would not hesitate to book a stay at Tamboti in the future!!

"We were greeted by animals"
We had wonderful experience in our two days in the Kruger National Park. Although the first day was very hot (car thermometer indicated 40.4 C, nobody paid much attention because every moment there there was something interesting to observe. We were "greeted" by various antelopes, zebras, giraffes, numerous families of elephants, hippopotamuses and other animals on land, in the water and in the air. We heard the lion roar just outside the camp it seemed. The camp had basic facilities, clean and in good working condition. Living in tents gave us close feel of the rich living world outside. We have hundreds of photographs and short films for remembrance.
