Cheetah Plains

Cheetah Plains is part of the Sabi Sand Game reserve offers guests the choice of three luxury safari lodges. The accommodation at Cheetah Plains caters for a maximum of sixteen guests. The Lodge building, of wood and thatch, is unique in its construction and offers magnificent Reservationss of the surrounding African veld and wildlife from the upper deck.

Cheetah Plains situated in the Sabi Sands adjacent to the Kruger National Park is a rather special safari place, with many guests returning time and again over the past years, has just eight thatched chalets tucked away in indigenous gardens.

The accommodation at the lodge has 8 luxury thatched bedrooms, individually situated in the indigenous gardens. All en suite, air-conditioning, fans, mosquito nets. The bathrooms have showers, toilets and sinks.

Two Reservationsing decks, library and plunge pool. Breakfast is a full English style buffet. High tea includes savouries and cakes; dinner is a four course meal under the stars.

2 wildlife safaris (game drives) daily. A daily guided game walk in the bush. Breakfast at Bush Lodge is a full English buffet.

Lunch is a simple affair: with hot and cold dishes, and afternoon tea includes fresh bakes. Dinner is a four-course meal. Renowned chef Suzi Holtzhausen has created the menus at Bush Lodge.

Sumptuous dinners are either served in the dining room or under the African sky, around a roaring fire in the boma. Morning safaris start early so as not to miss the magic of the African sunrise and most animals are active at this time of day.

The safari experience here is unique in that we do not only concentrate on the Big Five, but you can also learn about the history of the reserve and how the Tsongas once lived on this land alongside the animals.
