As a seasoned traveller, my wife and I are constantly looking for something different and unique. Earth Lodge separates itself from the rest with its own unique style and facilities, but what makes it one the best lodges I have ever stayed in was the outstanding service from the lodge manager Hugo all the way down to the room cleaning staff. At the staff participate in making your stay memorable.

The rooms blend into the landscape and are stylish and spacious, with large well equipped bathrooms. They are protected by a wall, ideal for perfect privacy with a private plunge pool and outdoor shower. I had to try both, even though it is winter, and could not persuade my wife to join me.

From the room it’s possible to see elephants, bush buck and the resident hippos. The room service is excellent and the food is exceptional considering that you are in the bush.

Thanks to our excellent rangers, Richard and Goodman - we were able to see several different lion prides leopards on two occasions and cheetah, plus many more animals. If you are looking to see the big five then this is the place. The tracking vehicles are washed daily, and are well equipped with blankets and hot water bottles for the cold morning drives. Drinks are also served during the drives.

This elegant resort is completely different and unique to all the other lodges in the Sabi sand, the staff are warm and the service was excellent, making it worth every cent spent.

My husband and I took a four day break from our kids and decided to spoil ourselves by selecting one of the best game lodges money can buy. I can honestly not fault Sabi Sabi on a single thing. We spent the first two days at Earth lodge. From the moment we arrived we were waited on hand and foot and all the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and catered to our every whim. The suites are very spacious and modern and each has it''s own plunge pool. We also sampled the award-winning Amani spa. The facilities and staff in the spa are world-class and prices are very reasonable.
The most mind-blowing element of our stay at Earth lodge was the unbelievable standard of food. Every meal was sensational and could rival any five-star restaurant in the big cities.
The game viewing was amazing and we saw all Big Five as well as a female cheetah. Our ranger was very entertaining and incredibly knowledgeable.
This was an unforgettable experience. Just wish we had booked a longer stay.
