LOCATION

Situated in the western sector of the 65 000 hectare Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which adjoins the Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. River Lodge is located on the banks of the seasonal Sand River in the Exeter Private Game Reserve, with a traversing area of 10 000 hectares.

ACCESS

A 5 hour drive on good roads from Johannesburg to the Newington Gate of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Federal Air operates daily flights from Johannesburg International Airport (JIA) to Ulusaba airstrip, followed by an easy game drive to the lodge. SA Airlink offers daily flights from JIA to Kruger

Mpumalanga International Airport, followed by either a road or air transfer to the lodge.

River Lodge's magnificently positioned guest sitting and dining areas overlook the Sand River, and are filled with deep sofas perfect for whiling away the hours between game drives. A giant sausage tree provides shade for long, lazy afternoon lunches. Delicious Pan African meals are shared in the open air

boma or at romantic candlelit bush dinners.
