The 6 luxurious suites comprise of their own courtyard, lounge with fireplace, viewing deck and private swimming pool. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom is fully air-conditioned and has an additional outside shower. The suites are 165 m2 in size and are positioned far apart to ensure a sense of pure exclusivity and privacy.

Neither word nor photograph can capture the sense of the pure beauty which is breathed in when opening the carved wooden doors leading into this private recluse – arguably the world’s finest bedroom!

Your rate at Lion Sands Ivory Lodge includes the following: accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon teas / coffees, all local beverages (wines, spirits and soft drinks) but excludes premium brands, laundry, two game drives daily in open land rovers with qualified rangers and trackers, game drive refreshments, as well as specified gaming activities such as bush walks, picnic lunches and hippo tour.

LION SANDS RIVER LODGE:

The reserve is private and exclusive to Lion Sands guests only with both Lion Sands River Lodge & Lion Sands Ivory Lodge located on the banks of the Sabie River. Lion Sands is 4th generation family owned and managed, where the highest standard of guest service and experience have been handed down from generation to generation.

Lion Sands River Lodge, which is downstream of Ivory Lodge, facing due East, is nestled under a canopy of trees dating back almost 800 years, catching the sun as it rises over the Kruger National Park. The Lodge is about spirit, warmth, nature & relaxation.

This 18 room luxurious lodge comprises of the following: a private lounge and bar, 2 swimming pools, wooden viewing decks, a secluded bird hide, private hammocks, health spa, curio shop & both an indoor and open-air dining area. All the air-conditioned bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with an indoor & outdoor shower and separate bath, mini bar and private wooden viewing deck overlooking the Sabie River.

Lion Sands River Lodge is the soul of Lion Sands and is hosted by a family of staff that will make it feel like home away from home and where guests can relax, enjoy and get to experience African hospitality at its best.

Your rate at Lion Sands River Lodge includes the following: accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon teas / coffees, two game drives daily in open land rovers with qualified rangers and trackers, game drive refreshments, as well as specified gaming activities such as bush walks, picnic lunches and hippo tour.

Lalamuka Health Spa: "Lalamuka" means unwind in Shangaan and that is exactly what it is all about. An array of body and facial treatments are available to guests to assist in getting rid of those urban stresses.

Weddings: Where better to celebrate the union of two soul mates than under an ancient Marula Tree on the banks of the meandering Sabie River? The exclusive Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is able to tailor make a wedding celebration which is completely unique and in true African custom. The couple will be able to pledge their vows in the company of close friends, relatives and the African wilderness.

According to African tradition the local Shangaan Chief will be there to give his blessing upon the newlywed couple. After the blessing all will be invited to share in the wedding feast, prepared and served in the open savannah under the illuminated Southern Sky. Singing and dancing will continue long into the night until the morning star has risen in the east signifying the beginning of their new journey together.

Honeymoons: A wooden platform has been constructed high up in the top of an ancient Jackalberry tree. Amongst the branches, the most romantic bush bedroom is set up to accommodate a couple for the night, with secure access and as many of the room comforts as are practically possible. The guests are driven to the hide after dinner and "settled" in for the night where after the ranger returns to the lodge (15 minutes away) leaving the guests in complete privacy to spend a night under the stars. An absolute must for visitors who come to Lion Sands!

Conferences: Lion Sands Private Game Reserve can accommodate up to 40 delegates for a conference or executive meeting. Kindly contact us for details.
