The Villa Ticino Guest House is situated in the heart of the village of Sabie, which sits amidst beautiful waterfalls, enchanting forests, and towering mountains. This European style villa offers guests a charming vacation from the toils of every day life among quaint settings. It's a short walk to the internet cafe, Laundromat, banks, post office, shops and both gourmet and "pub style" restaurants. Sorry, no children, no smoking, no pets, and no self catering.

The guest house is reached through an alley of lush plants and greenery to entrance area replete with statues, fountains, murals, and benches. Guests are welcomed personally by the German/Swiss hosts, Ute and Felix.

In the rustic guest house, visitors will find spacious quarters and contemporary chic decor. There's a casual honesty bar, an information area, and a lounge with an open fire place and magazines. Outside, guests will discover an expansive veranda with mountain views, lush garden and a secluded swimming pool for refreshing swims and leisure. Enclosed parking is provided. Children fourteen years and older are welcome. Sorry cigar-lovers, no smoking indoors.

Villa Ticino is located in Sabie, which can be reached by the scenic Long Tom Pass after four hours easy driving from Johannesburg Airport, or an hour's drive coming from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.

At the Villa Ticino there are five different guest rooms with twin beds and one room with a queen sized bed. All rooms are en suite and feature their own charming decor. Five of the light and airy rooms elegantly combine a Ticino and Mediterranean ambience, and one guest room is uniquely decorated in an East African style with tasteful contrast.

Each of Villa Ticino guest rooms are equipped with safe, radio alarm, luggage rack, seating area, hairdryer, two prong plug, tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, dressing table, ceiling fan.

Both the cooked and continental breakfasts served daily are popular with guests. There is a daily rotating menu and a buffet featuring a dizzying array of fruit juices, yogurts and cereals, home baks, breads, cheeses, jams and cold meats. You can get your day started right with our eye-opening choice of teas and special "Ticino blend" coffee. Breakfast can be enjoyed between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM daily in either the Ticino breakfast room, or - if the weather is warm, on the spacious veranda with its extravagant views of the mountains.

Villa Ticino is a well suited base for day trips to Kruger National Park, Sudwala Caves with a traditional village, Pilgrim's Rest, Graskop, Shangana traditional village, Kaapsehoop with wild horses, Cheetah project, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Botanical Garden in Nelspruit, the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, Blyde River Canyon, as well as many waterfalls.
