Shingwedzi camp is situated in the northern part of the Kruger National Park in the heart of mopane country and is the perfect place to view large elephant herds. A game drive along the Shingwedzi River towards the Kanniedood Dam is one of the best the Kruger has to offer.
Elephant herds, Waterbuck, nyala and kudu are often seen in this region, with the river also comes great birding opportunities. An overnight stay at Shingwedzi camp will have a lasting impression.
Shingwedzi Camp still carries the essence of the bush, relax and enjoy this marvelous camp. Shingwedzi Camp offers accommodation in 2 separate circles, the A-ring' consists of 31 huts consisting of the original wattle-and-daub buildings, and the outer 'B-ring' comprises of 24 bungalows.

Shingwedzi Campsites
Shingwedzi has 65 tent or caravan sites, with power points, communal toilets and cooking facilities, maximum of 6 persons per site.
Shingwedzi Huts
24 huts each with 3-bed rooms and a communal toilet and kitchen.
Shingwedzi Bungalows
Shingwedzi has 56 bungalows all equipped with ablutions, most with showers, but some with baths, some units with AC, some have both hotplates and sinks, some only have sinks. Choose a kitchenette or communal kitchen.
26 Bungalows each with 2-bed rooms have with no kitchen and 2 of these units have double beds.
There are also 28 Bungalows each with 5-bed rooms with 2 beds in the loft.
Shingwedzi Cottages
1cottage with 4-beds and two bathrooms, kitchen and dining room/lounge and 1 double bed.
Rentmeester Guest House
Can accommodate 8 in 2 x double beds, 2 x single beds and a double sleeper couch. Fully equipped, en-suite bathrooms with riverside view.
