Day 1 Johannesburg/Kruger National Park Sawubona! Welcome to South Africa.
Early morning on day 1 (around 5am) we depart Johannesburg, the city of Gold and head off on an adventure of a lifetime. A truly unique African experience unfolds as we enter the Kruger Park via one of the Southern gates. The Park is home to 150 species of mammal, including Africa's famed Big Five. The staggering 507 bird species, plus the wide variety of insects, reptiles and amphibians make this the ultimate wildlife experience.
We board open safari vehicles and enjoy our first exciting game drive en-route to our camp, taking in the sheer beauty of the African bush along the way. After settling into camp we venture out into the bush as we track the creatures of the night on a sunset game drive. On return we enjoy a delicious meal around the campfire
Overnight: Camping in permanent dome tents with bedding (sleeping bags) provided.
Distance travelled: From Amadwala Lodge to Hazyview where you board the open vehicles is 520 km. From when you board the open vehicle to the entrance of Kruger National Park is another 35km. Distance travelled inside the park depends entirely on sightings.
Time travelled: From Johannesburg to Hazyview where you will board the open vehicles will take around 6-7 hours including stops. From here it is another 45 minutes to an hour before we enter the Park. Once we enter the Park we start our game drive en-route to our camp where you can enjoy lunch. If time allows we do another game drive in the afternoon before the sunset game drive. The sunset drive is around 3 hours into the early hours of the evening where the rangers track the nocturnal animals by means of a spotlight.

Day 2 Kruger National Park On day 2 after an early rise we break camp, departing last night's camp at first light. Our game drive takes us to some of the best game drive routes within the Kruger Park, giving us the opportunity to view the varied landscapes, ecosystems and abundant wildlife. The entire day is spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping off at the various waterholes en-route to our central camp. After an adventure filled day we arrive at our camp for this evening and are greeted with the aroma of hearty meal.
Overnight: Camping in permanent dome tents with bedding (sleeping bags) provided
Distance travelled: From our first camp to the next is 110km but we game drive enroute, often leaving the main road. The route we follow depends entirely on sightings.
Time travelled: We will spend most of today on game drives with enough stops in between to stretch the legs and to relax.

Day 3 Kruger National Park/Johannesburg An early rise as we head out along the Kruger's best routes for the morning. Leaving the National Park late morning. We then continue our journey to Johannesburg, arriving in the early evening at our finishing point Amadwala Lodge, Johannesburg.
Overnight: Please note that the tour finishes on arrival and there is no accommodation provided for this night. We are able to organize additional accommodation at Amadwala Lodge please ask at time of booking. Why not stay a day or two enjoying our private Lodge and exploring the surrounding areas.
Distance travelled: From our Lodge in Greater Kruger National Park back to Johannesburg is 550km
Time travelled: 8-9 Hours including stops.
