


White River is a important farming and tourism village located 38 km from the world famous Kruger National Park and 4 km from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, its origin is from about 1890. White River is the ideal base to explore the Kruger National Park and various other natural wonders close by. White River is situated just north of Nelspruit.
White River has 3 irrigation dams and a number of nearby forests, is a popular vacation destination for those looking to enjoy the splendor of the Crocodile River Valley. A 26km canal to channel water from the river was built, new settlers then planted trees and established new cultivation methods. White River farms tend to be relatively small but the agriculture is intensive with tropical and citrus fruits in abundance, vegetables, timber and cut flowers.
White River village has a reputation for its arts and crafts; Kraal Kraft Curios is about 5km from White River and is one of the largest curio shops in Southern Africa.
