Lechwe Lodge is nestled in the heart of a gorgeous game farm on the Kafue River, only an hour’s drive from the centre of Lusaka in Zambia. A tranquil hideaway with all the creature comforts, this is the perfect place to unwind or to use as an alternative to a city break in Lusaka.

Apart from being a peaceful retreat for travellers, Lechwe Lodge is able to offer conference facilities within easy reach of Zambia’s capital, making it a convenient stopover and accessible for international guests utilising the nearby airport. The lodge can host up to 17 guests for conferences of varying lengths with all-inclusive packages covering accommodation, meals, drinks and activities.

All visitors to Lechwe Lodge can expect comfortable accommodation in picturesque rondavels (chalets). These traditional thatch buildings resemble African huts set in lush, landscaped bush with surrounding acacia forest. Each of the four standard rondavels has a scenic outlook over the Kafue River floodplain and is suitable as twin or single accommodation, with en suite shower and toilet, mosquito nets and a thatched summer house. Families are most welcome to Lechwe Lodge where 2 more rondavels can sleep 4 guests each, with 2 twin or double rooms. Both of these larger chalets have en-suite bathrooms, with the bigger of the two having its own sitting room and private patio.

Delicious home-cooked meals are the signature of Lechwe Lodge, with almost all fresh ingredients being sourced from the farm. Enjoy a variety of local drinks as the sun goes down, listening to the night calls of wildlife from the waterhole. Take a dip in one of two pools at Lechwe Lodge, one being a full-sized adult pool and the other a children’s plunge pool or take in the various game that can be seen around the farm, including zebra, giraffe and numerous antelope species. Enjoy beautiful walks amongst the 4000 acres of neatly laid out footpaths to enjoy excellent close-up views of the wildlife. Lechwe Lodge is also especially good for bird-watching and fishing, with over 420 bird species and a dam bursting with beam and carp.
